What I Fight For

These are the issues that I feel Conservatives should work on and fight for. Hopefully, we can get all of them at least started on the right track.

Equal Flat Tax System

Taxes should be fair, and balanced. Right now, only a small majority of people actually pay income taxes. Everyone pays lots of other taxes, and no one really knows all the taxes that they pay. This leads to to many issues, as our current situations currently show.

To change this,we should push for a flat equal national sales tax. We should be able to see a 4% to 5% bracket, but we would never pay off our national debt. I am currently working on the details of this plan under my Federal Spending Worksheet section. Under this section, there is a plan that has a 10% national sales tax on all sold goods. With this plan, and using previous budget information, there is a way to pay off the federal deficit in a little over 25 years.

Now, that may not sound like that great of a plan, but again, this is based off of 2008 GDP sales figures, and maintains current funding levels for many current federal plans. We should see many of these plans cut down in size, or just plain cut out, so hopefully the 25 years can turn into more like 15 years. My whole point with it is: It can be done!

Deduction of the National Deficit

They say that we have a $10,000,000,000,000 national debt. That is 10 Trillion dollars. Which, divided by the approx 350 million citizens, gives us about $28,500 each. This is on top of our Social Security funding issues, which adds like another 24 trillion dollars.

We need to fix this. We should have never let it get this bad, but many of us like to live with a blind eye of what our government is doing. I have been working on this under my Federal Spending Worksheet section, and am open to ideas on what can be done to resolve this.

Inflation and Money Control

Our government should not be printing and creating billions of dollars a month. I have been looking at taking our currency back to the gold standard, silver certificates or something similar. But this does not really solve the underlying problem. The problem is really who gets the money when it is created. Right now it goes to the hands of people who then spread it how they want.

This can be elected officals (thru bribes, favors, etc...) or even banks and other financial institutions. They are the first to get the money, and they decide how to divide it, or distribute it, usually in the form of loans, of which they then make money for themselves.

We still have some work to do on this, but the first thing we should see is this:

Whenever new money is printed (or "created"), the Federal Reserve sends out an equal amount to all citizens of the United States. Every single person gets the same percentage of the total amount, and they all get it at the same time (or at least within 2 months time). This makes the distibution fair, and equal, and that is what our Federal Government should represent and encourage.

Restoration of State Rights

Why do, or can, the citizens in California, Wyoming, Montana, New York, or any other state, tell citizens in another state what they can, should, or can not do? Expessially when it does not include matters that even affect the citizens outside of said state.

I take for example, Texas. They seem to want to be able to drill for more oil, build refineries, and produce gasoline and other products from this. Why can't they? There is no where in our US Consitution that says they can't. There is not one word that says that another state can tell them they can't. There is arugment, if anything, that possibly the "commerce clause" would require that the federal government would actually prohibit another state from telling Texas that they cannot.

Restoration of American Ownership

At no time should anyone other than an American Citizen own any of our land or property. They are free to rent or lease, but never own. This is our nation. We own it. Not someone or some company from another nation. You don't like it, become an US Citizen.

Insurance Reform

Right now there are many people who are upset with the "Insurance Companies" and similar things. You can view my opinions and ideas under the Fixing the Medical System section.

Fair and Accountable Law Creation

As I discuss under the The Voting System section, I believe that just about all laws created today are filled with way to much BS. I believe that all laws should be 5 or less pages in length, should be readable by any 7th grade reader, and should only cover one topic, or change to the laws. They should also be publicly available for at least 30 days time, and that the public should be allowed an overiding vote on all lays.

Protection of our National Borders

How many illegial alliens do we have here? Many people say that this is due to us not protecting our boarders enough. Well, this may be part of the problem, but it is not the full issue. Once someone gets thru our borders, we need to make sure that they do not have a cush, easy life. It should be rough for them. It should be a crime to cross the border. It should be a crime to support this activity in any way.

We should card check people whom may appear to be from other nations. Expesially if they do not speak fluent English. We should not sit here and start printing all of our signs in their language. Sorry. If you want to come to America, then by all means, become American. And this means "Speak American" and call yourself an American.

I will create a topic page on this soon enough.

Education Reform

Education is one of the main problems that I see in our future. Why is it that we are the only true "Super Power", we consume some 30% of all created goods, yet only have 5% of the population. Why is it that we have the largest collection of wealth ever known on the face of this planet, yet we are not even in the top 10% of education achivements and test scores?

Similar to the "National Borders" topic, I will create a topic page about this soon.

Voting System

We live in the 21st Century. We have the best and most sophisticated technologies in the world. This goes from car washes, cell phones, computers, cars, and just about everything else. Why don't we capitalise on this?

Please visit my Voting System section, and see what I think we can do to help harness some of this power.

National Defense

Our national defense depends on more than just building bombers and weapons. It includes just about all of the above topics that I covered.

Give me control of a nation's money and I care not who makes the laws. - Mayer Amsche

Our National Defense includes our monatery system, our education, protecting our borders, and how we interact with other nations.

I believe in a strong National Defense, but I do not believe that this simply includes a huge military. It means so much more.

My opinions on other topics:

I don't think that these are pressing issues at this time, even if many think they are. I have added my opinions about them just for peoples information and to get a feeling of how I feel on these topics.

  • Term Limits - Um, well I don't think we should have any Professional Politicians, but I don't know if this is the answer for this problem. Would I support a bill for Term Limits - VERY LIKELY.

  • Cede Federal Land Ownership - Yes, I don't think that the federal government should own any land. I do think that it should be allowed to hold land for military facilities and other government entities. It should not own thousands of acres that it does nothing with.

  • Gun Control - I saw a web page (http://www.kc3.com/editorial/40reasons.htm) that I just had to laugh at. Get real people. We are allowed to own guns, and we should.

  • Gay Marriage - Well, I don't support it, but it is not my right to saw if it is wrong or right. That is a topic for the states.

  • Any legislation coming up for a vote must undergo a 30-day cooling off period so the general public has time to review and comment on the legislation before the final vote.

  • If a simple Word document can track the changes made by the last 10 authors, shouldn't legislation that affects hundreds of millions of people be able to do that as well? All submissions of language to Bills and amendments should list the Congressional Rep who added the language and anyone who updates or changes the language with the date and time of each change.

  • Eliminate corporate tax and capital gains tax - I will need to research this some more, however, if my flat sales tax plan would become effective, these taxes, and any others like it, would be removed by default.

  • Medical Science: In medicine the government needs to alter the way they pursue medical advancements. Prize money should be given to companies that successfully develop cures for major diseases (lesser prizes for minor diseases). Ever hear of an X-Prize? (Go to www.xprize.com) This is how a Free Market should handle these matters.

  • Alternative Fuels - Yes, we should work on this. How? Good question.

  • The Government should not provide any funds to any outside organization that engages in political fundraising or advertising.

  • The government should not enact policy to require "volunteerism" at any age. Quite frankly that is slavery.
    • H.R. 1444: Congressional Commission on Civic Service Act - Section 4 Paragraph B, Item 5 reads: "The effect on the Nation, on those who serve, and on the families of those who serve, if all individuals in the United States were expected to perform national service or were required to perform a certain amount of national service."

    • Or Section 6 of this same item: "Whether a workable, fair, and reasonable mandatory service requirement for all able young people could be developed, and how such a requirement could be implemented in a manner that would strengthen the social fabric of the Nation and overcome civic challenges by bringing together people from diverse economic, ethnic, and educational backgrounds."

  • No election debate shall have only two parties represented if others want to participate.

  • Mandate English as the national language. If you chose to live here you chose to adopt this culture - not impose yours.

  • Make lobbying illegal - I am starting to really agree with this. But willing to listen to arguments on both sides.

  • Require every voting member to read the bill/proposal IN IT'S ENTIRETY before voting and be given ample time to do so, based on the reading speed of the average person. They should also have to write a 5 paragraph response to their vote for this bill. This should be written by them and them alone. This response will also become public.

  • Removing the "Executive Order" privilege from the President - No, but maybe there should be a limit to the number of, and what these are used for. We may need this option in the future for the president to really squash something that needs to be done, but the president shouldn't do it to just do whatever they wish. 200 of them in one term are way too many. 1 or 2 maybe?

  • Stop paying for convicts T.V. and gym equipment and food. I was in prison for a short term. I did not receive a free TV from the state. We had to pay for them. Somewhere around $120 or so. We paid for our cigarettes, deodorant, and any food that we wanted that were not part of the menu. Get over this. What we should do is make them work. Bring back chain-gangs. With this, I also want to bring up Capital Punishment. I think we should rethink our ban on this.

  • Repeal 17th amendment - I am open for arguments on this.

  • Elected officials would not be eligible for "permanent" benefits until they have been elected for more than one term (VESTED), no automatically getting them, even if serving one term. If they are no good, they would be voted out! If they are good they would keep their job.
