My Stance Research
|
About MeMy name is Greg Conely. I am married, with 2 young children. I currently work full time in the computer industry. I probably shouldn't really say where, or what I do, as it may conflict with interests of my work, and our customers. I do a lot of work with the local and state governments around northern Nevada. If you want some idea of what I do, you can visit my personal business website at http://www.imagementor.net - where I sell some of the programs I write. I was born in Augusta Georgia, and lived there for about 8 months, before my family moved back to Hawthorne, Nevada. I lived most of my life in Northern Nevada areas, expect for about a year or so, that my father and I moved to Folsom, CA for his work. After that, we moved back to Gardnerville, NV. I went to Reed High School in Sparks, Nevada. I did a little bit of community college, but nothing special. In all actuality, there is nothing special about me. I am just willing to stick my neck out there. And I stick with my actions, opinions, and decisions. I am confident in them and in myself. I have done many good things, and a few bad things. I hope that the good outway the bad, and I hope that whomever I hurt doing bad things has forgiven me, and has moved on. I hope that I have not done anything that bad to them. Now, you will hear lots about the bad things about me. That is assuming I do hit the spotlight. I have created a whole page about the "bad things" that I have done, not done, or whatever. You can go to that page by clicking here. I am currently 31 years of age, and my birthdate is July 15th, 1977. I was born in Augusta, GA. My dad lives here in Sparks, NV. My mother, last I knew, lives in Lamoni, Iowa. They have not been together for basically my entire life. I did go back and visit her once when I was about 15. It was a great trip, and I have many fond memories of meeting her, her husband, and my 3 half sisters. I wish them all well. I am not a great speller, I am fairly arogent, and often over state my opinion to people, and not allow them to get their side in. I do not think I am perfect or the smartest person in the world. I do, however, think I am pretty smart, I do believe I have much common sense, and I do think that I am right more often than not. Lastly, I try my hardest to do my research before I open my mouth on a topic. I am a little lazy, and pretty down to earth. I am not a heavy drinker, but do currently smoke. I am pretty much doing this because I am tired of people saying that they can't change anything, but then continue to complain about everything. If we really want something changed, we can. If anything, I hope that I can help the American people believe that about themselves. I would consider myself a "Conservative" if I had to pick a side. I am definitly not a "Liberal", if I had to choose between the common political parties. But I am past the whole political party thing. All the parties play the same game. Politics. And I am tired of that. We should not have a "Political Class" in my opinion. Now, many will say that I have to background in politics. Is that a bad thing? What have our "professional politics" done for us lately? Many people that I talk to also think that I should run for a local office. But that is not my real concern right now. Our local government will be my next step, but first we have to give them back control of their people. I like to start with the big issue, fix that, then work down to the minor issues. That is my approach, and that has worked very well for me. You may not agree with this, but that is what makes America so great - we have the ability to do these "experiments" as people call them. My view on Religion: To start off with, I would consider myself a Christian. I don't necessarily believe in Organized Religion, however I do believe in a higher power. Whether this is one or many "higher powers", I cannot say, nor do I think we, in our mortal lives, will ever truely know. I believe that there is nothing wrong with most Religious beliefs, and in contrary, I believe that having religious beliefs makes the individual better. This not necessiarily has anything to do with the Christian religion, or most any other religion. Most of them have the same founding principles, and these are typically principles that are for the betterment of both the person and the people. Also, having just simple "belief" that you are not supreme, and that there are things much stronger, powerful, smarter and omni than you helps bring upon an understanding and realization of life that you simply cannot have if you simply believe that you are it. And even with all of that stripped away, lets just take the common sense approach to it.
